Welcome to

Sheltered Paws Dog Rescue in Cincinnati, Ohio, is a non-profit organization helping save shelter dogs by placing them in loving forever homes or in temporary, loving foster homes to get them ready for adoption.

With the help of our local shelter we are able to identify at risk dogs that need our help most; dogs that have been at the shelter for an extended period of time, moms and their newborn babies, and dogs that come in to the shelter with a more complicated injury or illness that the shelter is not able to care for.

In a loving foster home these dogs are able to relax, heal, learn or relearn social skills, work on any behavioral issues that they might have, and overall just learn to trust us and enjoy life again.

Finding the best possible forever home is our goal. Getting to know the dogs personality and character traits in a foster setting allows us to match him/her with the forever family that will be the best fit, therefore decreasing the likelihood of the dog being returned to the shelter.

Who We Are

Shelter Paws Dog Rescue is a Cincinnati, Ohio non-profit organization dedicated to helping save shelter dogs by placing them in loving forever homes or in temporary, loving foster homes to get them ready for adoption.

We focus on moms and babies, long-time residents of the shelter, and dogs with special needs. We work with our local shelters to promote shelter dog health through buying things, not in the budget (like special healthy treats, toys, equipment, etc).
